A sudden heart attack while golfing: What would you do?

The sun is shining. There are rolling hills of green grass as far as the eye can see.

What a beautiful day for a game of golf. Lots of sun, fun, and laughs.

You’re at the fifth hole. Your friend raises their club but never makes the swing. Collapsing to the grass, it looks like they’re unconscious and not breathing. You’re not sure though because your friend landed face down on their stomach.

Now what do you do? There are precious seconds to make the right decisions.

The Red Cross First Aid, CPR & AED course can teach you the most important steps that can make all the difference to your friend’s survival. Learn how to roll your friend over without causing more injury. Understand how to assess their ABCs (airway, breathing, and circulation). Find out when the right time is to make the call to 911.
