Service Description
2 hours in class $55.00 + $7.15 = $62.15 Designed to give in-facility care providers (nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals) and pre-hospital care providers (fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards, and ski patrol) the confidence to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and rapid defibrillation including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Course content: • Glove removal • Primary assessment • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) • Airway obstruction • Assisted ventilation • Basic Life Support special considerations Course take-a-ways: • Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support Field Guide (print or eBook) • 1-Year Basic Life Support (BLS/HCP) certificate (digital issued after successful completion) Class held at the: Safari Childrens Dentistry 480 Bronte St. S
Cancellation Policy
We offer both virtual and in-class training. For our virtual classes, we do not offer refunds since course materials are delivered directly to students well in advance of the course date. We would, however, be happy to do a one-time transfer to another class, if requested, at no additional charge to you. For our in-class training, you must email us at least 30 days before the start date of a course to receive a refund of course fees. We will refund your course fee less a $20 administrative fee. If you contact us within 30 days of a course start date, we will be happy to do a one-time transfer to another course date at no additional charge to you. If you do transfer to another course date, you forfeit the right to cancel your registration and receive a refund. There are no refunds or transfers to another course for no-shows.
